This handbook describes the United States (U.S.) aviation weather program, products, and services. It also documents weather theory and its application to aviation. The objective of this handbook is to help the pilot and operator understand the basics of weather, aviation weather hazards, and aviation weather products. The information included is not prescriptive. The book provides a window into the vast storehouse of innovations and technologies of the Indigenous peoples who live in Northwestern North America. It is our hope that the Indigenous Science examples, research and curriculum models will inspire deep reflection regarding the under-representation of Aboriginal students in the sciences. Ele apresenta as sequências didáticas (SD’s) aplicadas junto a turma do 1º Ano do Curso Técnico de Nível Médio em Agropecuária na Forma Integrada, ofertados pelo IFAM campus Coari, com o objetivo de servir como um norteador para utilização das abelhas nativas sem ferrão como ferramenta educacional, especialmente na disciplina de ciências.

Students who do not know what careers they would like to pursue will be asked to review supplementary career resources such as the Occupational Handbook or the Virginia Wizard or the local employment office or any authoritative resources which could give them information about career pathways. Students will choose at least two occupations that they would be interested in pursuing. For each of the two occupations of interest, all students will review the level of education required, salary information, hiring outlook, and other information regarding the career fields and write a paper including this information comparing and contrasting the two career fields of interest.

This course introduces students to the career-decision making process and job search strategies that will increase their job readiness, employability, and success in their career. The following four major areas will be covered: (1) Self-Understanding; (2) Creating an attitude of success; (3) Researching jobs and careers; (4) and Job search skills.
