I really enjoy how in depth this lesson is! It provides the meaning of cause and effect in informational texts, provides a graphic organizer that sorts which part of a situation is the "cause" or "effect", and also provides examples of cause and effect situations. I also loved how this lesson offered more exercises that teachers could use for guided whole group instruction, or students can use it for independent practice, or teachers can also use the exercises as an assessment as well. From the context of the lesson, I could this lesson was designed for older students. Although, I see areas where I can differentiate for my second graders.

Opportunities for Deeper Learning: Limited (1)
As a single lesson, there is not enough opportunity for deeper learning. However, a skilled teacher can ask questions along the way to get to deeper learning.
