- How did you use this material?
Although, i have not used this item yet, i do plan on using in my Honors Biology course next week as lab following some instruction on the heart and its chambers. I plan to implement this material as a lesson that takes place over three separate class periods.
- In which courses or programs did you use the material?
I will use this material in my Honors Biology classroom in the anatomy and physiology unit prior to the fetal pig disection.
- Clarity
I would have liked to have seen some more detail on the cutting procedure of the heart. The author could have provided a diagram to use when cutting open the heart. There is a diagram of the heart after it is cut open, however a detailed description of how the heart should be cut would be nice too.
- How would you recommend using this material?
This material has good suggestions on introduction activities prior to beginning the lab activity. There are attachments that are flashcards and diagrams that can be used with this resource to help the students understand.
