This resource is an integrated lesson. There is an alignment to CCSS 1.L.6 and 1.W.2. A strength of this resource is the integrated approach to learning butterfly metamorphosis. A limitation of this resource is that the connection to the CCSS standards are in the creation of one of the products. it is not the heart of the learning. Some considerations upon implementation would be that this lesson requires additional resources. Also, teachers could adjust to make CCSS 1.W.2 a more prominent part of the lesson.
