The Northern California Training Academy provides training, research, evaluation and consultation to 28 Northern California counties. Recognizing the priority need for integrated training across disciplines in the region, we are committed to delivering high-level training and other professional services to meet all of our counties’ needs.
We offer training and professional services to programs that serve vulnerable children, adults and families. This includes public and private organizations across the full spectrum of human services. Grounded in the public service tradition of the University of California, our goal is to help human service professionals provide exceptional, client-oriented and strength-based services to individuals and families in need.
As part of the Center for Human Services at UC Davis Extension, the Resource Center for Family-Focused Practice serves the multidisciplinary human services needs of organizations with an emphasis on family-centered practice. In partnership with the California Department of Social Services, the Resource Center provides research, custom and standardized training, technical support, symposia and support services with the goal of integrating practice approaches to improve outcomes for children and families.
The Tribal TANF Professional Development Program offers tribal-specific training in case management and leadership development to Native American social services agencies throughout the U.S.
